Nice quality and low price. Works as described on Audi A8 in USA
This is for the 13pin Euro to 4pin USA flat. Well made for an inexpensive piece. The SMD board is potted in resin and the connectors are weather proof and have good strain relief. I disassembled it and the wires even have gold-plated ferrules where they terminate on the 13pin side (very surprised to see this). It works as described for an Audi A8 with Westfalia tow controller. It successfully translates and combines the discrete outputs on the 13pin side to the simple 4pin. You get tail lights, brake lights and turn signals and the turn signals function even when brake lights are being used. For the low price I imagine the SMD components are not top shelf so time will tell how long it lasts.**Note** if you have a Westfalia controller (German - Audi VW Porsche OEM tow package) and are in North America this adapter won't work correctly if your controller is coded for NAR (North America Region). Symptom will be no brake lights (they will flash for a second but not stay on) and erratic turn signal operation. Probably you will want functioning brake lights. You will need to change the coding to ROW (Rest of World) and everything will work correctly. This can be done easily via VCDS.Open Trailer Module (69)goto Codingopen Long Coding Helper and change byte one from NAR to ROW using the drop-downclose the Long Coding Helper and saveIt will report Coding Accepted and you're good to goAlso note that LED trailer lights will set off the bulb out notification in the Westfalia controller but the lights will still function - just an annoyance. This can be remedied by installing load-resistors for both lights on both tail light circuit (parking lights) and brake/turn light circuits (4 resistors total) on the trailer.Happy Towing!

Works great!
I used it to connect a 4 PIN Trailer (US) with the Trailer kit of my Land Rover Discovery with 13 PIN (EU). It works greats, the car system detects the trailer and activates all activates/links all the trailer functions

No trailer brake control line or 12V charging line to the 7blade connector
It might suitable for a small trailer without brakes or battery but not for travel trailers or anything with brakes.I started tracing the wiring and finally disassembled the two connectors to see how the sockets were actually wired and was shocked to see only five wires connected to the 7 blade side. The two missing connections were the battery charging/AUX 12V line and the power to the electric brakes. I stopped tracing wiring at this point and decided to replace or rewire the adapter.Update:Our tow vehicle was an Audi Q5 using a Westphalia Automotive (Audi’s supplier for these) CAN to 13 pin trailer Interface, which was what Audi sold before they made it obsolete in the US. I’m not sure if Audi ever had a 7-blade version. I ended up designing and building (I’m an EE) my own 13 in 7 out interface using discretes, with all parts, case, cables, etc. connectors purchased from Amazon. I used a Curt Echo brake controller. Rev 1 was used for about 1600 miles of travel pulling a lightweight travel trailer. Rev 2 was never used because we traded the Audi for a Ford Ranger Lariat, which is easier to tow with, has a built-in tow package, built-in 7-blade interface, and gets better mileage using regular gas (vs premium for an Audi).

Well worth the price
An extremely well made, difficult-to-find converter from European to US.
