Calcium Carbonate Supplement (150 Capsules) Bone Health, Teeth, Natural Antacid*

After years of jugs of calcium carb from Costco that was fruit flavor and hard tablets to chew and an unhappy dentist, I sought a tasteless (tired of the fruit), and something to not have to chew. I take these for bone support (osteoporosis on scan) and to protect the irritating effect of one of my arthritis medications, so I take at the end of a meal.I put the cap on a capsule size chart in the pic attached, the capsule is about a size 00, so about 14/16" x 1/4", so while not the smallest capsule, but for me is not difficult to swallow [I have larger pills :-( ]. Each capsule is white (powder inside) and 500mg of Calcium Carbonate, I wished they had a 1 gm capsule, but it would probably be too large.The manufacturer states: No Chemicals, Preservatives, Artificial Color or Flavor; Free from Soy, Dairy, Yeast, Sugar, & Gluten, Food and USP Grade. I couldn't find in the info or label what the capsule is made of as capsules may be made from aqueous solutions of gelling agents, such as animal protein (mainly gelatin) or plant polysaccharides or their derivatives (such as carrageenans and modified forms of starch and cellulose), and thus can be vegan, so it is an unknown here.Overall pleased with this produce, it met the use I wanted, and knowing people's tolerance varies, these are something I can swallow.If you found the added detains helpful, please hit the useful button, it provides motivation to put a little more info and pics into the reviews for this great community. good alternative to other brands of antacids like tums, as these capsules had pure calcium carbonate without other colors or flavorings--not meant to be chewed up, just swallowed with water. I am please with the product.

The front of the label says 150 capsules next to 1100 mg. which pretty strongly implies that each capsule is 1100mg. However, the information on the back says that 1100 mg is in 2 capsules, and that there are only 75 "servings" of 1100 each. So the capsules are really only 550 mg each. Although I think this is cheating on the part of the seller, maybe it's not intentional, just poorly executed. I'm keeping because it's cheap enough anyway, so not worth the hassle of returning. It's actually hard to find calcium carbonate without vitamin D and other things that I don't need.

I don’t like the taste of any of the flavored chewables, so these are helpful.

They are a pretty big capsule but not to difficult to swallow. Fast shipping and I feel it’s a good value for the money.

So how do you send vitamins on 3/11/2020 with the "best by date Feb 2020". So I received it in March with past due good date. Horrible.

I like smaller pills to adjust dosage.
