I'm amazed by the quality of Oerla knives for the price they sell for. Even the packaging they come in is nice. I have a few different models and this one is my favorite. I love the shape of the pommel; this knife feels great when held in reverse grip. The edge is nice and sharp right out of the box and the clip point blade shape makes for great tip that's very pokey. The knife feels very well balanced and has good weight without feeling too heavy. The blade is made of D2 steel and requires maintenance (wipedowns and oil). I was pleased to see that it gets sent with some oil coating the blade to help ensure that it's received in pristine condition. If you don't mind caring for a knife, this is a fantastic bang for the buck. If you're looking into the Oerla line I highly recommend this model.

This thing is beefy. Haven't abused it yet but I feel confident I could baton firewood with it. Very sharp... I can shave my arm hair with it.Knife fits great in my XL hands. Kydex sheath fits it perfectly and knife clicks into place securely. I don't love the plastic clip... seems bulky and overly complicated. I'll try it and see if it grows on me, otherwise replace it with a regular steel clip.

Very good quality on this knife, great feel in hand, came very sharp. Just on their holster, I wish they would use a plastic shim washer between the clip and holster, they use a rubber O-ring, and they split. EF uses shim washers.

Great all around knife with a good sheath, good fitting sheath, which is unusual for a knife this price range. Sharpness out of box was great, grind even. Spine is not 90 degree but false edge is and will strike ferro rod good.

Hard to complain about this one! Probably the best quality knife I've seen in recent times. Durability will be interesting but the weight and feel give great confidence. Came with a decent edge but I touched it up my belt sharpener which fine-tuned it really nice - sheath seems really well made as well.

Knife is heavy - quality D2 tool steel, full tang, G10 scales. Excellent, crisp sheath retention. Good carry/mounting options. If you need an all-purpose belt knife you could do a lot worse and/or spend a whole lot more. Serious weapon. Just beware of rust....
