The diameter of the rug is 4" short of 3' and the thickness is exaggerated in the description. It's actually pretty thin.

Great little rug for the price
This rug made a great addition to my little book corner! I will say, it does shed pretty bad and I’m a little afraid to wash it. It is super soft! But for the price, I would definitely buy again!

Just what I needed
I needed a small rug in front of my crib in the nursery. This is perfect for that (and a pop of color!) Plus my dog loves laying on it too, so I think that it's a good sign based on it's softness!
