The blue is an all purpose utility knife. Yellow a sandwich knife. Serrated edge for cutting bread or lunch meat. Smooth side for spreading condiments. Green is a vegetable knife. Orange a parring knife. Great set and well made.

I have owned two sets of these little knives and am buying another set because I lost some. I love the blue and the red knives the best. I use the green to open my Amazon boxes LOL! Yellow for slicing bagels. Great little set for little jobs for little money.

Very good quality

So sharp I cut myself the first time I used them ... I must have been thinking of my OLD knives that I passed along to someone else. This little set was such a good buy! I am quite impressed and didn't think I would like the colored handles... I do! It is very easy to pull them out of the block and know which knife it is because of the color. Granted, they don't match my wooden Chicago Cutlery set, but the quality is still there! I liked them so much I bought TWO sets. You can't go wrong @ 3.99 for FOUR knives! A+ in my book.

These knives were $3.99 and i bought them with a $25 dollars off with purchase of $125 promotion, as an afterthought. I really like them because the blades are thick and very sharp, and the quality is very good. i used one of them to open boxes today, no problem. i don't agree that the knives are flimsy, as one reviewer stated. although the handles are plastic and colorful, they are a much better quality than many plastic handled knives i've seen. AND, again, at less than $4, who can beat that.

The knives are brilliant -- small, strong, sharp, lean, mean. Great price! Sturdy!The packaging is a horror show. Working long and hard using strong tool shears, I had to cut the packaging into 19 little pieces to get the knives out. Ridic.

I was torn between this set and a more expensive similar set. I went with this one, and I am happy I purchased this set. The knives and very sharp, sturdy, easy to grip, and make chopping (a chore I hate) fun. These are the best utility knives to have around. I even throw them in the dishwasher without any problems. For the low price and brand name, you can't beat them!

I have another similar set that I really love. That keep theirsharp edges and work well. I assumed these would be thesame quality. They are not. The blades are thick, bulky andnot as user friendly as I had expected. I would notrecommend these. I would not purchase them had I knowntheir quality.
