I had gotten the animated version of 101 Dalmations for my children. Now I delighted in the movie version with equal fervor. What great lessons this movie imparts.

Watched it with my 10 year old and now she wants 102 Dalmatians for her birthday. Great film.

I have been looking for a DVD version FOREVER! I had the VHS and finally was able to find a format that we can play in the US. Horray!

Yes, the classic Disney animated version was better, but this version should not be shunned. The story's still good, the scenery of London and its surrounding lands are nice, and the cast is generally well-chosen. Of course, we all know who's the best... ...Yes, Glenn Close steals every scene she's in. And why shouldn't she? Close makes Cruella de Vil the controlling, malicious, cigarette-smoking, fur-crazy villain we all know and love. In fact, I dare say that this Cruella is better than her animated counterpart...Glenn Close can just create that kind of three-dimensional presence. The rest of the cast was good too, though not as memorable, except maybe Jasper and Horace, played by Hugh Laurie and Mark Williams respectively. Their antics and arguments were mostly funny...by the end, they were as fed up with each other as with everything else and it showed. I just wish the filmmakers didn't feel the need to hit us over the head with the fact that the pair, especially Horace, weren't too bright...let the slapstick speak for itself. The updates to the story weren't bad either. Roger Dearly, played by Jeff Daniels, is now a videogame designer, an occupation definitely not in existence when the animated film was made. All the cars and houses are pretty modern. While it can be argued that all this makes the film more dated, I don't care. I watch it for the humor and the puppies. This is a relatively new take on something Disney made a classic. Go ahead and check it out. Enjoy.

‘101 Dalmatians’ was one of my favorites growing up. I preferred the live action remake over the classic animated version though. I still do to this day.As an artist, I do appreciate the classic animation for the artwork and animation style. Since the drawings were Xeroxed onto the animation cells, it made the movie interesting with the rough edges of the outlines.Glenn Close is Amazing as Cruella De Vil! I can’t see anyone else playing that role but her. She brought Cruella to life! I recently saw Glenn on the Jonathan Ross Show and she talked about how a mother stopped her in the streets and the mother told her son “This lady is Cruella.” Glenn was surprised and the child started to cry. Even though Glenn was dressed in normal everyday clothes.The script was very well written, Glenn Close’s wardrobe for Curella is stunning! And of course, the puppies are adorable! It remains one of my favorite live action films Disney has made.

This was such a fun movie and Glenn Close was brilliant in the role of Cruella DeVil! I am so glad to have this movie, it goes in my favorite all time movies. I'm looking forward to watching it again and again!

Esta muy bien remasterizada y viene con 2 CD. La calidad de la imagen es excelente.
