steel is hard and the bevels are fat. they need rebeveled before you can get a good edge, then they sharpen like a scalpel and the edge retention is fantastic. very good deal for the money.

I have not bought a knife for about 20 plus years. Very, Very picky on brand, design, style, etc, etc. This knife was and is for my wife. She loved it. From the looks of things, this bad boy should be around for a long, long time., andyes I would buy it again.

Nice for a guys first hunting knife. Fit and finish is better than some much higher priced knives I've bought. It comes as sharp as a razor. The balance point is an inch back on the handle. The sheath is very well made and holds the knife securely. I'll be keeping it for a backup or loaner.

I skin my own deer, and cut it up, still at the age of 59. I wanted a small knife that was sharp and would slice through things like butter. This knife does, it is comfortable to handle, blade is perfect for skinning and cutting a dear. You will not be disapointed.

Got as a gift very nice knife but wrong knife

As a previous reviewer stated, I also did not receive the next gen clip point as is stated in the description and pictured. I received the previous gen drop point knife. Will be returning.

Excellent knife, very well made, very sharp, with a strong sheath. Great hunting knife for field dressing most any big game. Its not what I ordered and I'm a little disappointed. I did order the PH1N knife. I ordered the next generation PH1N knife with a 3.6 inch Clip Point Blade and this is the knife pictured on the site. I received the PH1N with drop point blade. The knife I received is the earlier version of the PH1N which has been replaced by the next generation whose blade is completely different from the older generation. Since I collect knives, this one I do not have yet, this knife is of high quality and its a pain to return something I am going to keep it, but a little disappointed.

The Knife is nice with a nice antler handle but it is completely different knife than what is pictured. Different blade style with a shorter length blade and different sheath. Not the Knife I expected to receive so it is disappointing. The model number PH1N is accurate as that is what is on the outer packaging but not the knife pictured.
